Shared Earth Learning Saturday sessions for volunteers

Volunteer with Shared Earth Learning this summer!

Volunteers are very welcome to join us to help us develop and improve the Shared Earth Learning Forest School space. We're working on projects at the allotment, improving the pathways and replanting part of the Mendip Way hedgerow.

Meet us at the Shared Earth polytunnel at Vallis Veg, at midday, to join in.

The work is varied, and it's great exercise in a beautiful landscape. If you enjoy digging, weeding and mulching, or could help with making our outdoor kitchen, and would like to volunteer with our friendly co-operative in a beautiful setting, please get in touch or just pop by.

We meet on the second and forth Saturday of the month at the Shared Earth Learning site at Vallis Veg near Frome.

We're seeking qualified forest school leaders, playworkers, people with experience in leading horticulture sessions, and people who can deliver therapeutic outdoor learning.

Shared Earth Learning offers young people and adults opportunities to learn and recover in an outdoor environment. We run on co-operative principles and we prioritise working with the more disadvantaged members of our community.

We offer one or two days per week this summer. The work is 'freelance' and based in Frome Somerset. Shared Earth learning is a group of forest school leaders, we collectively offer a range of activities, including summer forest school sessions, playranging, and adult wellbeing groups.

More potential projects include: Working with Adults in Recovery, Forest School and Play-ranging with Primary School Children, Working with adults with learning disabilities and additional needs.

Our mission is to enhance local people’s relationship with the natural world, developing their personal and social skills and awareness of the importance of environmental sustainability.
