community tree-planting.
Tree Planting: Sunday the 17th of March. 1-4pm
The Tree Group Frome in association with Shared Earth Learning.
Woodland Edge Tree Planting volunteer and activities day by the Weylands* cycle path.
Come join us down by the river to help plant hawthorns, hazels, elder, guelder rose, willows, dogwoods and many other species to mimic the natural progression of a woodland edge.
There will also be a foraging walk with Hejgrow, Community Herbalism Centre herbalists talking about medicinal uses of these trees.
Together with FTC, we provide the Trees, tools and refreshments. You provide the effort.
Dogs welcome, donations appreciated.
*Head north from The Otherside or Welshmill and you’ll find Weylands – a flat, grassed green space leading down towards tree-lined riverbanks on the way to Whatcombe fields.
